Chavakkad Beach lies in Thrissur district
in the south Indian state Kerala
, at a distance of 2 kilometres from Chavakkad town. Situated along the west coast of the Arabian Sea
, it serves as a prominent tourist destination. The beach also hosts the spectacular confluence of the Chettuva or Chavakkad River and the sea, known as estuary. The meeting point is called Azhimokam in Malayalam

Chavakkad Beach has good connectivity of roadways, railways and airways. National Highway 17 passes through the town of Chavakkad, coming from Kochi
in its south and proceeding to Mangalore towards north. Buses and cabs can be availed for reaching the beach. Guruvayur Railway Station serves as the nearest railway station whereas for long distance trains Thrissur Railway Station is more appropriate. Cochin International Airport
