Council of Ministers
Council of Ministers is mandated by the constitution to be members of either House of the Parliament of India.

Council of Ministers is formed under the leadership of the Prime Minister in the Republic of India. This Council comprises the Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State and the Deputy Ministers.
The number of the members of the Council of Ministers has specified by the Constitution of India. Union Council of Ministers remains collectively responsible to the Indian Parliament. In addition to the collective responsibility, the ministers are also individually responsible for the functioning of their respective departments.
Council of Ministers is responsible for preparing and introducing bills in the Parliament; to aid and advise the President in the exercise of his functions; to determine the policy and administer them and to implement all the decisions adopted by the Parliament of India. The Union Council of Ministers carries out their functions with the help of the government officials. After the Indian General election 2014, Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India and under him there is the Council of Ministers composed of 45 members. They took the oath on 26th May 2014, after the landslide victory in general election conducted by the Election Commission of India.
