Byasanagar is a city as well as a municipality situated in the Jajapur district in the state of Orissa in India. Precisely the town is located at 20°51'0" North and 86°19'47" E.
The demographical record of the 2001 India census shows that Byasanagar has a population of 37,609. There are 53% males out of which 79% are literate. Moreover, out of the 47% females, 66% are literate. This amounts to an average literacy rate of 73%, greater than the national average of 59.5%. 11% of the population is made up of children less than 6 years of age.
