Bundu is a city as well as a notified area situated in the Ranchi district in the state of Jharkhand in India. The exact geographical location of the city is at 23.18° North and 85.58° East. It has a mean elevation of 337 metres (1105 feet). The 2001 census unveils the statistical figures of Bundu, which indicate a population of 18,505 including 53% males and 47% females. The average literacy rate of the town at 61% is greater than the national average of 59.5%. While the male literacy is 72%, 49% among the females is literate. 14% of the population is less than 6 years of age.
