Mango City is a suburb of the city Jamshedpur
in the state of Jharkhand
. This place is situated across the Subarnarekha River
and is connected via two bridges laid side by side. It's a huge and growing residential area in Jamshedpur. Once a suburb it is now a real estate hotbed in the state of Jharkhand. This place is now constructed in a well planned manner.
Mango City has the status of a 'city' according to the government of Jharkhand though being part of the main city Jamshedpur. It is a notified area and is run by its own notified area committee MNAC or Mango Notifies Area Committee. The welfare of this city is conducted by this body. The electricity services are provided by state run electricity board JSEB or Jharkhand State Electricity Board. There is no household water delivery system presently but MNAC has recently entered into an agreement with JUSCO to provide tap water services to the area.
Mango City is primarily a residential area and is now witnessing a real estate boom. Many real estate developers have or are developing residential colonies in the area. The Mango City has two specialty hospitals called MGM Medical hospital and another is Brahmananda Hospital. The MGM Hospital also has a college associated with it. Two new private engineering colleges have also come in the area.

According to the Population Census in the year 2011, Mango City had a population of 3, 16,874. The males constitute 53 percent of the population and females 47 percent. Mango City has an average literacy rate of 86.62 percent, higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5 percent. The male literacy is 91.56 percent, and female literacy is 81.29 percent. In Mango City, the 12 percent of the population is under 6 years of age. Although Mango city has population of 224,002; its urban / metropolitan population is 1,337,131 of which 696,858 are males and 640,273 are females.
