Construction of Lehra Durga Mandir Lehra Durga Mandir, dating back to thousands of years, is thought to be in existence from Dvapara Yuga i.e. before the Mahabharata war. As per mythological fables the temple is believed to have been founded by Lord Krishna during the thirteen years of exile period of the Pandavas. Prior to that it was the forest of the Earlier it was in the jungle of Adrvan and was known as Adrawna Village. Every year during the Chaitra month of Navaratri i.e. during the month of April a fifteen day celebration is organised by the temple authorities attracting pilgrims from different corners of the country. The festival is celebrated from the first day of Navaratri to the day of Purnima. Lehra Durga Mandir is well connected by different modes of transports. It can be easily availed by road and rail. The temple is at a distance of almost fifty kilometers from Maharajganj the district headquarters, and 12 Kilometers away from Pharend tehsil also referred to as Anand Nagar.
