Tourism of Vandalur
Vandalur serves as a famous tourist spot visited by many tourists throughout the year. One of the famous spots to visit here is the Arignar Anna Zoological Park. It is also known as Vandalur Zoo and was built in the 1855. It was then inaugurated in year 1985 and is spread over an area of 1300. The zoo provides shelter to more than 170 species of mammals, aviaries and reptiles. Another important visiting spot in the town is the Vandalur hill. It forms a part of the Arignar Anna Zoological Park. Tourists can get a glimpse of the panoramic view of Bay of Bengal.
