Bhandardara hosts the renowned Wilson Dam - which is of 150 m high and, besides being one of the oldest in Asia, happens to be the largest earthen dam of India. All the farms nearby are watered by the Wilson Dam. The Umbrella Falls, which looks grand and exquisite during monsoons, streams from the Wilson Dam.
Another nearby tourist destination, on the bank of Pravara River, is the Ashram of Agastya Rishi. Thousands of visitors throng the place every year. Another attraction is Ghorpada Devi temple which also is nearby.
For people who love to trek, Bhandardara is a perfect place. Mount Kalsubai with a height of 1646 m is the highest peak of Indian state of Maharashtra, and could be reached from Bhandardara.
The other distinguished place of attraction is the Amruteshwar Temple built in 8th century. And, apart from this, there is Ratnagad Fort which is 400 years that offers great experience for adventurous climb.
From Konkan Kada sky rising peaks of the Sahyadri hills can be seen. This entire region comprises of a wide variety of flora and fauna and is a wildlife sanctuary.
