Swapnasandhani is a popular theatre group in Bengal. It was set up by Koushik Sen- one of contemporary theatre personalities from West Bengal. The theatre group was set up in the city of Kolkata in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was founded on 29th May in the year 1992. Swapnasandhani is popular for its acting and directorial skills of Koushik Sen. With consistent high quality work and tremendous dedication, the group has successfully carved a niche for itself.
Ever since its inception the group has been very successful and has always tried out new ideas and concept, and never shied away from experimentation in Bengali theatre. However, from 2006 and afterwards the group gained immense popularity and started to conduct regular shows at the Sujata Sadan every Saturday. This actually eliminated the need to wait in the queue for free slots at important stages of Bengali theatre like Academy of Fine Arts, Star Theatre and Madhusudan Mancha etc.
