The soldiers hide to protect the politician and his daughter, but get further trapped inside the enemy camp. In a final attempt to escape the hostile enemy territory, the protagonist Echo gets fatally wounded. But when he regains consciousness, Echo finds himself trapped in the middle of an epic battle between humans and robots in a futuristic war-torn world. Echo appears in an advanced warrior suit and manages to locate another such cyborg human soldier who recognises him and re-programmes him to function properly. At the end of the story of Shesh Judho: The Last War it is revealed that Echo is actually a futuristic cyborg warrior. In the distant future, the world is destroyed by the rise of highly developed robots and machines with advanced artificial intelligence. An obvious war between humans and robots destroy the world and most of mankind is wiped out. Thus due to extremely reduced population, the surviving humans use soldiers who lived in the past but were kept alive in suspended animation through cryogenic technology. Echo is such type of a soldier who has been modified into a cyborg and his past memories were wiped out. But there are some glitches and faults in the system that enables the cyborgs to relive their past memories. Thus the entire episode of rescuing the hostages was merely a past memory. After the glitch is fixed by a commanding officer, Echo is again sent to the war zone to fight off the machines and protect mankind. The creators of the project are currently working on a follow-up to the comic Shesh Judho: The Last War. |
