Concept of Shakti
The plot of Shakti is loosely adapted from the concept of the famous comics character of Thor, published by Marvel Comics. Shakti, whose secret identity is Chanda, is an extreme incarnation of Goddess Kali, who is considered as the destroyer of all demons and the epitome of woman-power. Chanda was a simple housewife, who turned to Shakti after an unfortunate incident. After she found out that her own husband had murdered her daughter, a smoke emerged from her soul and went to the heavens. The atrocity of the incident filled her with rage and she decided to equalize the injustice. Goddess Kali re-incarnated as Shakti and used Chanda's body as the host, in order to vanquish all evil. Chanda transformed into Shakti and killed her husband.
Chanda works as a social activist and stays busy in the hospital. Her third eye, reminiscent of Goddess Kali, evokes the power of her spirit and transforms her into her divine avatar. Chanda keeps the third eye covered with a headband which she pretends to use in order to cure permanent migraine. Shakti helps all the innocent people in need of justice and fights to eradicate all evils. Shakti has a intense desire to get justice for women, who are tortured by men. Whenever any woman in distress calls for help, from any corner of the world, Chanda transforms into a fierce assassin known as Shakti. Shakti is an avatar of Maha Kali.
Shakti was initially misunderstood and was engaged in a battle with most of the superheroes in Raj comics universe like Nagraj, Super Commando Dhruva, Doga, Parmanu, Anthony, Tiranga etc. eventually she became a part of the team named P.O.E.M (Protectors of Earth and Mankind) and a member of Brahmand Rakshak.
