 Rumeli Dhar, born on 9th December 1983, is an Indian Cricket Player. Dhar is known for her accurate medium pace bowling and is also a dependable middle order batter for India. Dhar, while playing for India has actually delivered many match winning knocks, but her great performance in the 2005 World Cup helped India to cement its place in the final against the mighty Australian Team.
She also performed brilliantly in the Women Twenty 20 World Cup in England in the year 2009 and helped guide Indian team to the semi finals where they actually defeated the New Zealand team. The following winter she also played for Young India against Pakistan. Dhar opened the bowling along with Jhulan Goswami, the current India captain, in the Quadrangular tournament in Chennai in February-March 2007 and recent Twenty-20 World Cup in England.
