Yaja was a Brahman. According to Indian mythology King Drupada had a secret desire of son and he wanted to obtain it offering prayers to god with the help of Yaja and promised him ten million of kine. Yaja started the ceremony with King and his younger brother. However, queen was too late and the sacrifice proceeded without the queen. Due to this, the children were born independent of her participation.
