Lilette Dubey was born on 13th May 1961 in Mumbai, India. She is a Sindhi and her husband Ravi Dubey is a Saraswat Brahmin and the couple has two daughters, Ira and Neha. Her mother's name is Leela. Lilette Dubey is an Indian actress who has appeared on both stage and in Bollywood films. Dubey is an acclaimed theatre director who has directed the play 30 Days in September. She appeared in television with Newsline and Vaqalat. She played the role of Chandni in Aur Phir Ek Din and a determined mother in Raahein.
In Bollywood she has acted in films like Bawandar (2000), Zubeidaa (2001), Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) and Monsoon Wedding (2001). She acted in Baghban (2003), Kal Ho Na Ho (2003), Mira Nair's Vanity Fair (2004) Mahesh Dattani's Morning Raga (2004) and Anjan Dutta's Bow Barracks Forever (2004). Her performance in My Brother Nikhil (2005) opposite Sanjay Suri and Juhi Chawla's was commendable. Fanaa(2006), Corporate (2006) and Saas Bahu Aur Sensex (2008) were other movies she has acted in. in the recent years she has acted opposite many contemporary actors like Imran Khan Pal and Deepika Padukone in Break Ke Baad, Arjun Rampal, Jiah Kahn, Akshay Kumar and others in Housefull in 2010.
Dubey is also the founder of the Theatre Action Group in Delhi. Her daughter Neha Dubey is also an upcoming actress, who was featured in the Mira Nair movie 'Monsoon Wedding'
