G ulshan Rai founded the biggest and oldest film Production Company in India, Trimurti Films Pvt. Ltd. This company was formed in 1970. Gulshan Rai's son Rajiv Rai is the present owner of the company after his father's death in 2004. The company came into the limelight with its first project Johny Mera Naam in 1970. The first movie by Trimurti Films Pvt. Ltd. was a smashit and went ahead to become Golden Jubilee. Later on, this company produced many more blockbuster-hit movies such as Deewaar, Vidhaata, Trishul, Mohra, Tridev, and Gupt. In recent years Trimurti Films Pvt. Ltd. has produced films like Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat (2001) and Ashambhav (2004).
