Sonu Walia was born on 19th February 1964. She is the daughter of an Indian Army officer. Sonu Walia is a psychology graduate and a student of journalism.
Career of Sonu Walia
Sonu Walia made her acting debut with the film Shart in 1986. After which she starred in Hindi films with a lead, even though negative role. In 1988, the movie Khoon Bhari Maang garnered her lot of fame. She also won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for Khoon Bhari Maang with Rekha and Kabir Bedi.
Sonu Walia also acted in the popular TV serial called Betaal Pachisi along with Tom Alter and Shahbaz Khan. From 1988, she played the role of Maharani Chitrangada, mother of Babruvahana, in Mahabharat TV show.

Sonu Walia was married to Surya Prakash, an NRI based in the US who was a hotelier and Indian film producer in 1995 in a quiet ceremony in Pune. She has a daughter and a son.
