Kavi is the name of one of the sons of Priyavrata according to the Bhagavata.

The Bhagavata affirms that Kavi is the name of one of the ten sons of Priyavrata and Barhishmati.

Kavi along with his other two brothers Mahavira and Savana decided to dedicate their lives to the worship of God and renounced the material world. Priyavrata, father of Kavi divided his kingdom into seven islands among his remaining seven sons.
