Karan Kapoor is a member of the famous Kapoor Family in India's Bollywood cinema. He is a former Indian actor and model of the 1980s and the son of the veteran actor Shashi Kapoor. Karan Kapoor was born on 17th January, 1962, to the parents Shashi Kapoor, famous bollywood actor and actress Jennifer Kendal. He started his film career as a child actor in his father's films and later as the lead actor in other films.
His first mainstream Bollywood film was Sultanat, released in 1986 and he later acted in Loha that was released in 1987. But his bollywood career was short lived due to his Caucasian inheritance. He also appeared in the British television in 1984, in the series "The Jewel in the Crown". He was a well-known face in the modelling industry and famed as the modelled major in the Indian brands like Bombay Dyeing.
After retiring from modelling and acting career, he has become a photographer and lives in London with his spouse, son and daughter. He was the still photographer of the novel 'The Bostonians' published in 1984.
