Dhundumara is the name of the king Kuvalayaswa as he killed the demon Dhundu. Dhundumara was helped by his one thousand sons to kill Dhundu but all of them were killed by the fiery breath of Dhundu except three.
In the Ramayana, Dhundumara is termed as the son of Trisanku.
