However after they pass out of their college Aditi's parents propose marriage. To both Jai and Aditi the proposal sounds outrageous. They are not in love that is what they profess. Although they are friends but as far as their disposition is concerned it is poles apart. Aditi is short tempered and even abuses and fights with people when outraged. Although he seems perfectly the kind of person she has been seeking it becomes increasingly difficult for her to forget Jai. As the plot unfolds it turns out that Sushant is rather a selfish and envious person. He is not the level headed person he seems to be. Their relationship ends with a fight with Sushant hitting Aditi.
Jai meets Aditi as she is going away to USA for 3 years to pursue film studies. As they talk Jai come to know about their break and he too has broken up with Meghna. He sees Aditi has been wounded and is angry beyond words at such an unchivalrous act. He goes to meet Sushant, they fight and he hits Sushant. Jai is sent to jail. They turn out to be his royal cousins and they help them in being released from jail and the clutches of Inspector Waghmare.
