Dasabala are the ten powers or modes of wisdom possessed by Buddha.
Dasabala is said to be the wisdom that understands what knowledge is necessary for the right fulfillment of any particular duty, in whatsoever situation. It knows the result or consequences of karma, or moral action. Dasabala knows the way to the attainment of nirvana or annihilation.
Dasabala sees the various sakwalas or systems of worlds. It knows the thoughts of other beings and also tells that the organs of sense are not the self. Dasabala knows the purity is produced by the exercise of the dhyanas or abstract meditation. Dasabala knows where any one was born in all his former births and where any one will be born in all future births. Dasabala also knows how the results proceeding from karma, or moral action, may be overcome.
