The plot unfolds with the story of a brother and a sister played by Srihari and Trisha respectively. Residing in a village Sivarama Krishna (Srihari) has taken all the pains to bring up his sister. She is more a daughter and less a sister. As the plot proceeds Siri goes to attend the marriage of her friend, Lalitha, where she bumps into Santosh (Siddharth), an NRI from London. After their initial squabbles they fall in love. Santosh's mother does not agree to the match as she has already chosen a girl for her son. She insults Siri and the latter leaves. Santosh is adamant with his decision and follows Siri to her village where he needs to win the heart of her brother to marry her. What follows is his struggle to produce more harvest than Sivarama Krishna. Completely naïve he sweats and toils hard to fulfil the promise. Finally he is successful but the son of a friend of Krishna kidnaps Siri. A fight ensues and Sivarama Krishna kills the intruder. He accepts punishment and goes to jail. Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana ends with Sivarama Krishna's release and the subsequent wedding of Siri and Santosh. The script of Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana may not be new but its treatment definitely is. The relationship between the brother and the sister is beautifully presented by Prabhu Deva. The star cast supports the script perfectly. No one seems out of place. There is action at the end of the film but it does not mar the romance in Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. The music by Devi Sri Prasad and the lyrics by Sirivennela complement the film as well. With Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana Siddharth established himself as one of the most successful stars in Telugu film industry. Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana bagged the following awards: Filmfare Awards
Santosham Film Awards
Nandi Awards
