In the Puranas
, Mandara or Mandhara is the mountain which appears in the Samundra Manthan and is the symbol of concentration.
The word Mandhara is made up of two words, 'Mana' and 'Dhara' meaning mind and a single line.
Mountain Mandhara was used as a churning rod to mix the ocean of milk. It is believed to be located 52 km south of Bhagalpur
a province of India. The specialty of the mountain is that it is not made of fragmented stones but the whole hill is one single connected structure.
