Born in the town of Dehradun, the outskirts of the Himalayas in the year of 1962, the famous saint Mahamandaleshwar Santoshi Mataji had a very calm and spiritual nature, right from her childhood. It was her wonderful nature for which her father started to call her by the name of 'Santoshi'. She started traveling all over India from a very tender age and she had already toured various places with her father by the age of seven. She toured the places along with her father for spreading religious enlightenment among the masses.
Famous saint Swami Nrisingh Giviji ordained Mahamandaleshwar Santoshi Mataji at the Kumbh in the year of 1974, at the age of only 12 years. After that, she went on to attain more religious lessons and her father Jyoti Swarupanadji imparted the major part of her education. She mastered the ancient philosophies like Vedant, Law and many other dharmashashtras within almost no time and she later started to spread her thoughts and knowledge among her disciples and descendants.
Mahamandaleshwar Santoshi Mataji had a huge number of descendants and follower for her wonderful way of teaching thoughts and she established the Shakti Upasana Trust in Kankhal in the year of 1981, on the request of her disciples. In the next year, that is in 1982, she organized a spiritual camp during the Ardahkumbha at Prayag on behalf of the Trust and the Nrianjani Akhara bestowed upon the title of Mahamandaleshwar in the year of 1986, at the young age of only 24 years. Almost all the people acknowledge the learning wisdom of Mahamandaleshwar Santoshi Mataji.
