Ajigarta is a Rishi, whose name is mentioned in the Aitareya Brahmana. He used to live in the forests with his three sons Sunapuchha, Sunahsepha and Sunolangula. As a sacrifice he sold his son Sunahsepha for a hundred cows. It shows that the Brahmans at that early period were familiar with the idea of human sacrifices.
If the Aryan origin of Ajigarta is accepted as the seller and butcher of his own son, a great difference between the various Aryan settlers in India can be realized.
