Places to Visit in and around Pauri With the promises of cryptic valleys, crisscross lanes and lush greens, Pauri is a perfect exotic spot for spending vacations. Often dressed in white snow in winter, Pauri is an enchanting place with spectacular locales. Kandoliya This temple is dedicated to Lord Kandoliya, a folk deity located on the Lansdowne road. This incredible temple is located midst dense forests and one can get a spectacular view of the Himalayan peaks and Gangwarsyun valley. It is located at a distance of 1km from Pauri, the main town. Chaukhamba Viewpoint From here, one can get a splendid panoramic view of the Idwal valley and Chaukhamba peak. Maharishi Chyawan resided in his ashram, which was piled on the Doodhatoli hills. He was a well-regarded personality known for his medicines prepared out of herbs and roots. Adwani It is an idyllic spot surrounded by lush green forests far away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The floral wealth and the cold breeze coming from Himalayas are some of the features that enhance the quality of Adwani. There is a forest house located in Adwani where one can take a halt.
