Isvara pranidhanat va implies to perform intensely deep meditation of the Supreme Being. Through such an action the individual can attain the benedictions of the Lord like profuse downpour. If one is thus successful in arresting the Almighty`s attention by not even performing strict yogic practice, and is successful in denouncing every kind of worldly feels and senses, he is showered with blessings.

Isvara the Lord, God, and Universal Soul
Pranidhanat by profound religious meditation, contemplation, prayer, renunciation of the fruits of actions

Or, the citta may be controlled by profound meditation upon God and total surrender to Him.

To contemplate on God, to give up one`s self to Him, is to bring everything face to face with God. Pranidhana is the giving up of everything - one`s ego, all good and virtuous actions, pains and pleasures, joys and sorrows, elations and depressions to the Universal Soul. By giving up the aspirer`s ego is obliterated, and the grace of the Lord pours down upon him like torrential rain.
