Shree Ramaseva Mandali organizes music fests every year in Bangalore, Karnataka. 60 years ago S.V. Narayanaswamy Rao founded Shree Ramaseva Mandali to celebrate Ramnavami. Several song and dance performances were held to mark the first year. From then on every year the mandali unfailingly organizes a musical night for the Bangaloreans.
The concert provides the music lovers a golden opportunity to listen to Indian Carnatic Music. Though it is one of the oldest forms of music in India yet its popularity is evaporating with each passing year. Shree Ramaseva Mandali arranges for this music festival in the month of April at Fort High School in Chamarajpet. The music festival can continue over a period of 36 days. This is the time when the tech-savvy people take a break from their hectic schedules and unwind with music. The doors of this concert are open to the travelers too.
Classical singers from all over the world can participate in this concert organized by Shree Ramaseva Mandali. However, 60% of the seats are reserved for the performers from Karnataka. Apart from songs instrumental music is also a part of this musical concert. The biggest names in the musical industry take part in the fest arranged by Shree Ramaseva Mandali.
Eminent artiste like Bhimsen Joshi, Veena Doraiswamy Iyengar, K. J. Yesudas, Gangubai Hangal, M. S. Subhalakshmi, Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan, Sudha Raghunathan, Kumar Gandharwa, Rudrapatnam Brothers, T N Seshagopalan, K S Gopalakrishna, T N Krishnan, Aruna Sayeeram, R K Srikatan, T. R. Mahaalingam, P Unnikrishnan, Vidyabhushana, U Shrinivas, Rajkumar Bharathi, Mallikarjuna Mansur, Basavaraj Rajguru and Puttaraj Gavai and Chemmagudi participate in this musical festivity.
