The National Loktantrik Party is a political party of India. It is extremely popular amongst the Muslim minority community in India. Dr. Masood Ahmed, former Bahujan Samaj Party leader is the present president of the party. He is also the education minister of Uttar Pradesh. When Bahujan Samaj Party allied with the Hindu nationalist BJP, Dr. Masood Ahmed broke away from the party to join the National Loktantrik Party. The National Loktantrik Party has close ties with the Indian National Congress party.
