The year 1974 saw total 21 people from different fields winning the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award. The award is presented by the Government of India since the year 1954, on a regular basis. The award is mainly presented to the talented and courageous people of various fields in India and abroad, to recognise their talents and also to appreciate their wonderful achievements in their respective fields. The Padma Bhushan Awardees are always considered to be some of the greatest talents that India has ever produced.
