Maravanthe Beach is located on National Highway 17 between Kundapur and Byndoor and nearly 50 kilometres from Udupi in Karnataka. It is situated 12 km from Kundapur, which is 50 km north of Udupi and 110 km north of Mangalore.

In and around, Maravanthe Beach is filled by various attractive points that are worth visiting like St. Mary’s Island, Byndoor and Ottanane. Byndoor is 45 km from Maravanthe and it has its own beach. Near Byndoor people will also find the charming Belekal Theertha Falls. Maraswamy Temple is another highlight of the Maravanthe Beach. This temple comprises of three garbhagriha where three deities are worshiped. One of the deities is Varaha or wild boarthat is why it is also called as Varaha Swamy Temple. The Kodachadri Hills offer trekking trails and these trails are fairly difficult and suited for professionals and experienced trekkers.

The ideal time to explore the beauty of this beach is between September and March when the swimming opportunity at the beach is at its best.
