Early Life of Karan Singh Grover
Karan Singh Grover was born on February 23, 1982 in Delhi, to a Punjabi Sikh family hailing from Ambala, Haryana. His family moved to Saudi Arabia due to which he studied at International Indian School, Dammam. In 2000, he moved back to Mumbai and pursued a degree in Hotel Management from IHM Mumbai, Dadar Catering College. He even had a band during his college days called the Thousand Decibels. He then worked as a Marketing Executive in the Sheraton Hotel in Oman.
Career of Karan Singh Grover
Before starting his television acting career, Karan Singh Grover did many modelling assignments, ramp shows, advertisements and even hosted a radio show. Later, he entered the "Gladrags Mega Model Manhunt Contest" in 2004 and ended up winning the award for the Most Popular Model. Through a nationwide talent hunt contest he, along with 5 others, got selected to play leads in an MTV show "Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi", followed by "Princess Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag".
In 2007 he got the show "Dill Mill Gayye", a medical youth drama. The name of his character in "Dill Mill Gaye" is that of Dr. Armaan Mallik. He was also seen in "Kasautii Zindagi Kay" in STAR Plus for sometime. Subsequently, he acted in "Solhah Singaarr" on Sahara One, as well as some short stints on Sony TVs "C.I.D.", Indian TV series and "Parrivaar". He anchored the STAR One reality television show "Zara Nachke Dikha" and was the second runner-up in the dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" in Season 3. Grover was also seen in advertisements of Rupa Frontline, Cleartrip.com, Indian Gem & Jewellery and Kajaria tiles.
In 2009, he co-hosted the music show "Idea Rocks India" on Colors TV. In 2010 he participated as a contestant in "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi" (Season 3). In 2011 he hosted the travelling reality show "Perfect Couple" on Channel V. He also made a special guest appearance for about a month of the Channel V series "Dil Dosti Dance" as professor Karan Mallik. He also starred in a telefilm in the STAR Plus series "Teri Meri Love Stories" in August 2012. Currently, Karan is working in a new popular show "Qubool Hai" as Asad Ahmed Khan on Zee TV. In October 2015 Karan Singh Grover hosted a new talk show on ABP News called "Selfie" in which he narrated the story of Bollywood Stars and their struggle. In the year 2015 Grover also endorsed Warrior Safety shows from Liberty Shoes brand, and also became the brand ambassador of Rocky Ss signature Brand RS by Rocky Star along with Bipasha Basu.
Karan Singh Grover has made his big screen debut as a lead with the horror film titled "Alone". He was seen opposite stunning actress Bipasha Basu. It was a passionate love story between a man, a woman and a ghost. In the next movie "Hate Story 3" he was seen essaying a grey character of Saurav Singhania. The film also starred Sharman Joshi, Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah in leads roles.
Personal life of Karan Singh Grover
Karan Singh Grover married television actress Shraddha Nigam on 2nd December 2008. The marriage ended in divorce after 10 months. Karan Singh Grover married Jennifer Winget, his co-star from "Dill Mill Gayye", on 9th April 2012. The couple recently got divorced. He is a fitness enthusiast.
