The film was first decided to titled as `Maine to Muhabbat Ki Hai` but later named as `Dil To Pagal Hain`. This was the first Bollywood movie to be shot in Baden-Baden, Germany. One German theme park named as Europa Park has also been used as location. The Indian movie, Dil To Pagal Hai contains some unique dance performances my Madhuri Dixit as well as by Karishma Kapoor. The film was awarded in many heads in the film fare awards. It has also got two national awards in the year 1998.

Plot:
Indian movie, Dil To Pagal Hai is directed by Yash Chopra and was a blockbuster of 1997. Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) is a dancer and the director of a successful music and dance troupe. He believes that Nisha (Karisma Kapoor), one of his dancers, is his best friend; Nisha acts like his pal, but is secretly in love with him. Rahul is preparing his dream project for which he will be needing one heroine. At that very time Nisha injures her foot and Rahul needs a new dancer.

Dil To Pagal Hai , Indian movieHe hires Pooja (Madhuri Dixit) and tries to make her a good dancer. She and Rahul are increasingly attracted to each other, but they act as if it were not happening. Pooja, unknown to Rahul, is already engaged to Ajay (Akshay Kumar), the son of family friends who raised her when her parents were killed. A romance with another man would be scandalous, and be a disappointment to her auntie and uncle, who want to see her marry their son. Although she is in deep love with Rahul but because of these reasons she tries to keep her distance from Rahul and Rahul becomes puzzled by her mixed signals. Nisha, however, her senses sharpened by jealousy, sees it all. Rather than try to stop the affair, however, she decides to leave India for the time being and let matters take their course. She truly loves Rahul, and wishes only the best for him. When they are preparing for the show Pooja finally tells Rahul that she is engaged to Ajay; Rahul is deeply hurt. He changes some part of the show to reflect his new unhappiness. Nisha returns from London to see the progress of the new production and complains that it has an unhappy ending. Rahul refuses to change it as the story reflects his relationship to Pooja. At the last part of the movie Rahul decides to make one last effort to revive his romance with Pooja. Pooja is torn between love and duty. She loves Rahul but she also cannot do injustice with Ajay. So the last twist is played by Ajay, who has realized what is going on and releases Pooja from her engagement. Pooja and Rahul becomes united and all ends happily. The comedy part is at last frame Ajay and Nisha are together and they are planning to start a new life.

Cast and Crew:
In the Indian movie, Dil To Pagal Hai the lead roles are played by Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karishma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. Farida Jalal was in an important role while the director himself was senn in the movie. The director of the movie is Yash Chopra, he also produced the film along with Mahen Vakil. Music is given by Uttam Singh and the film was distributed worldwide by Yash Raj Films Pvt Ltd.

Awards:
Indian movie, Dil To Pagal Hai has got eight film fare awards in the year 1997. And the list includes best movie, best actor, best actress, best dialogues, best art direction, best supporting actress, best music director and best cinematographer. In the year of 1998 it has got two national awards as best supporting actress and as best choreographer.
