![]() Arpita Roy has obtained the degree of Nritya Prabhakar and Nritya Visarad in Kathak from highly esteemed Allahabad Board and Tailakka Board of India. For the last 9 years she has been settled in the US. But her love for the traditional art form dance led her to learn different style of Dance. Jazz, Hip-hop, Ramba/Salsa and different modern/bollywood styles are among those different styles of dance that she has learnt. Arpita Roy in Washington DC Metro Area, USA actively executing her performances. Apart from performing, she has also been exhibited as choreographer. In Indian International School, Fairax, VA, Arpita Roy also teaches Kathak. She also holds the post of a member of Indian Dance Educator's Association (IDEA). Throughout her dancing career, she has been conferred the Gold Medal in Kathak dance competition held at Bani Chakra Dance School, Calcutta. In Tailakka board she stood first in all over India and conferred a gold medal. She obtained the 3rd position in Doverlane music competition held in Calcutta.
