Kimpurushas are mythological spirits who are the followers of Kubera. They have bodies of horse but head as a human being i.e they look just the opposite of Kinnaras. In some mythology, Kinnaras and Kimpurushas are thought to be as same clan while Mahabharata narrates them as different groups.
In some other mythological stories Kimpurushas are lion faced creatures. Kimpurushas are also the dwellers of Himalayas. In Mahabharata it is mentioned that Mountain Gandhamadana was the abode of Kimpurushas. Druma is ascribed as the king of Kimpurushas, who was defeated by Arjuna. It is believed that Kimpurushas like to move alone in the forest.
