Iglas is a town and a nagar panchayat located in the Aligarh district of the north Indian state, Uttar Pradesh. Geographically, the town is located between 27.72° North latitude and 77.93° East longitude at an average elevation of 178 metres (583 feet).
The census report of India published in 2001 reveals that the town had a population of 11,861. Males constitute 53% of the population and females account for 47% of the population. In Iglas, 17% of the population is less than six years of age. The town has an average literacy rate of 65%. This is surely a sign of development as the national average literacy rate is 59.5%. To be specific, the male literacy rate is 73% and the female literacy rate is 57%.
