Air Chief Marshal Nirmal Chandra SuriAir Chief Marshal Nirmal Chandra Suri was born on 26th July 1933.He was commissioned into the Indian Air Force on 15th March 1952.He was appointed as Wing Commander at 20 Squadron in 1966. He served as a wing commander of 7 Squadron from 10th Dec `71 to 27th Mar `72. He was promoted to the rank of Air Chief Marshal on 31 July 1991 and was posted at Army Head Quarter, Delhi. In 1966 he was awarded the Mention in Dispatches. He also received the Vayu Sena Medal (1969), Ati Vishist Seva Medal (1982), Param Vishist Seva Medal (1987) for his dedicated service to the nation.
