Ghatanji is a town and a taluka headquarters in the Yavatmal district of the western state of India, Maharastra. The district headquarters is in the city of Yavatmal, which is about 45 km. south of Yavatmal. The nearest railway station is at Yavatmal and the Sonegaon Airport is the nearest airport. The geographical location of this place is between 20.13° North latitude and 78.32° East longitude at an average elevation of 274 metres (898 feet) above mean sea level.
