Ghanaur is a small settlement in Patiala district of the northern state of India, Punjab. The town is located between 30.33° North latitude and 76.61° East longitude at a height of 255 metres( 836 feet) above mean sea level.
According to the 2001 census report, Ghanaur had a small population of 5754 inhabitants. Males constitute 53% of the population and females account for 47% of the population. In Ghanaur, 12% of the population is less than six years of age. Ghanaur has an average literacy rate of 64%, which is higher than the national average literacy rate of 59.5%. The male literacy rate is 68%, and the female literacy rate is 60%.
