General Sir Francis Robert Roy BucherGeneral Sir Francis Robert Roy Bucher was born on 31st Aug 1895. General Sir Francis Robert Roy Bucher was commissioned into the British Indian Army on 15th Aug 1914. He held different appointments. He was appointed as Assistant Adjutant General in 1941.General Sir Francis Robert Roy Bucher served as Additional Quartermaster General, in Iraq, from Jun 1941 to Mar 1942. He was posted as General Officer Commanding of Bengal and Assam in 1946. General Sir Francis Robert Roy Bucher also served as the General Officer Commanding - in - Chief in Eastern Command from 1946 to 1947. After that he was appointed as the Chief of Staff of Army Headquarters. General Sir Francis Robert Roy Bucher assumed the charge of General Staff of the Indian Army on 31st Dec 1947.
