After a decade Sushant Singh comes back to small screen in `Virrudh`. One can easily figure out his brilliant acting potentiality through his played characters.
Sushant Singh from Uttar Pradesh has attended Boarding school `Birla Vidya Mandir of Nainital. He finished his graduation in Kirorimal College, Delhi. He is very much passionate for acting, which dragged him to join Ebrahim Alkazi`s Living Theatre Academy in 1992. With in four years he have done several plays like `Greek Tragedies`, `Death Of A Salesman`, `A Street car named Desire`.
After `Dhadkan`, some years back serial on Sony entertainment Channel, Sushant agreed to work with Smriti Irani on her producing Project`Virrudh`. he likes the story very much in it, which is very different from the dailly dramas.
Sushant came to Mumbai in 1996 to test his destiny. First he has to act in Chetan Anand`s movie, but because of Chetan Anand`s sudden death he couldn`t get chance. Then for sustaining his life, he had done some other jobs like translating and giving voice over for Discover and National Geographic Channel.
Finally both Mansoor Ali and Ram Gopal Verma gave him chance in `Josh` and `Satya`. `Satya` became the turning point of his life. Though that was a very small role, but came with a great impact. Again in Ram Gopal Verma movies he got chances in `Kaun` and `Jungle`. `Jungle` gave him the fair chance of proving his capacity.. His negative role was highly appreciated by the audience. In the movie`16 December` his role as Victor was quite impressing and his firebrand revolutionary acting as Sukhdev in `The Legend Of Bhagat Singh` gave him rewards. Sushant`s other films are, `Dum`, `Paisa Wasool`, `Darna Mana Hai`, `Lakshya`,`Sehar`, and `D- Comany`, `Sikhar` `Matrubhoomi`.
Sushant married to Molina, in 1998, whom he met in Ebrahim Alkazi`s theatre group. Now he is a father of a baby girl.
Sushant`s coming projects are Ram Gopal Verma`s ` Soley`, where he is doing `Samba` `s role and Pradeep sarkar`s `Laga Chunri Main Daag`.
He achieved IIFA Award for best actor in negative role in `Jungle` and Best actor in supporting role Screen award for the `The Legend Of Bhagat Singh`.
