`Banu Main Teri Dulhan` is the story of a girl, Vidya, who is illiterate. Her marriage was like a fairy tale, married to a prince in a rich family but no body loves her there. It is the story about the struggles of Vidya in her life for the love of her in-laws. Both the central characters are playing by fresh faces.

Divyanka Tripathi aka Vidya
Divyanka Tripathi is in the protagonist role of Vidya in ` Banu Main Teri Dulhan`. She is just 21 years old and finished her graduation in Arts. Basically she is from Bhopal. She wants to be an Army officer. She is the quest of `Zee Cine Star Ki Khoz`. After winning in the discovery contest, she came to Mumbai and had done modelling.

She had acted in a Telefilm called `Saathire` on Sahara One; where her co-star suggested her name for `Banu Main Teri Dulhan` to the production house. And now she is famous in every Indian family as Vidya.

Divyanka is a former model, anchor and sports freak person. In her school and college days she joined NCC and got Best Cadet`s title. She received gold medal for rifle shooting. She also learnt Mountaineering and water ski. She had crowned as Miss Bhopal and then Miss Beautiful Skin, for Zee Teen Queen. She anchored for Akashwani Bhopal and worked in few Telefilms of Doordarshan.

Sharad Malhotra aka Sagar
Sharad Malhotra is playing the lead role in `Banu Main Teri Dulhan`. He is playing a mentally challenged person, whose mind is just of eight-year-old boy. Sharad Malhotra from Kolkata is 24 years old. His father is an Architect, Mother is a housewife and sister is married to a famous fashion designer of Kolkata.

Sharad was very confused and tensed for his role as Sagar. He thought, if he is not able to act perfectly then couldn`t able to progress further. But all friends and family suggested him to do this role and he also watched various films related to this kind of character and watched each and every action of children for better performances.

Sharad had done modelling. He became The Face Of The Year-2001 in Kolkata. He has undergone training from the Kala Manthan Academy and Kishor Namit Kapoor`s acting Academy. he won the Zee Cine Star Ki Khoz` and first he came in Zee TV`s `Rooh` Telefilm. He was also seen in Sony Channel`s `Kabhi To Nazar Milao`. He got offers for `Kyunki` and `Kasturi`, but because of busy schedule of `Banu Main Teri Dulhan` he declined the offer.

Surinder Kaur
Surinder Kaur is playing Sagar`s mother`s role in ` Banu Main Teri Dhulhan. In various serials she has played character roles. Her another serial is `Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi`.she also acted in several films like Parineeta, Rakhta bandhan, Payal Ki Jhankar. She was awarded for play back singing.

Kamya Panjabi
Kamya Panjabi is playing as Sindoora in `Banu Main Teri Dulhan`. Most of her characters are vamp roles. She has done several serials like `Saat Phere`, `Ladki Anjanisi`, `Kyun Hota Hai Pyar`, `Reth`, and `Asthitva`.Currently she is playing in `Who Rehene Wali Mehlon Ki`.

Rajendra Gupta
Rajendra Gupta is one of the actors in the serial `Banu main Teri Dulhan`. While studying in Kurukshetra, some of his friends suggested him to join National School of Drama (NSD). After his studies Rajendra Gupta joined NSD and passed out in 1972 with his directional diploma. Since then he is working in the profession of Teaching, Directing, Acting. Till 1985, he worked in various cities and theatres. But after that he came to Mumbai and practiced in films, Television and Theatre.
