Prithvi Mudra
Prithvi mudra comprises elements of earth and is advisable to debar problems with nails, skin, hair, bones and mind.

Prithvi MudraPrithvi is `earth`, the representation of the elements of earth and this mudra is supposed to equilibrate the elements of earth. This Mudra actuates the root chakra, which houses our vital energy or elemental force. To ward off energy deficits and to actualize both his physical and metaphysical goals, Prithvi Mudra is an essential tool.

The tips of the thumb and ring finger are placed on top of each other and a light pressure is applied. The other fingers are left extended. This is done with both hands three times for about fifteen minutes a day. This mudra restores the equilibrium and trust of human mind and soul. It has been said that, this mudra activates the root charka that is the abode of all elemental force. This mudra restores the mutual balance of the elements of `agni` and `prithvi` tattvas.

Prithvi mudra is recommended for the people who suffer from deficiency of minerals and vitamins and those who have weakness in the body. The position of the fingers intensifies the sense of smell and is also effective for nails, skin, hair and bones.
