Bari is caste, who are said to be the makers of Hindu crockery.

Bari is a caste of human civilisation. Their occupation is to stitch together large leaves by the insertion of small wooden pegs. In fact, the Baris are said to be the makers of Hindu crockery.

The leaf-plates and dishes prepared by the Bari people form a considerable item in the daily expenses of respectable families. These are used to hold the food. During festive occasions broad platters of leaves prepared by the Bari people are used in great quantity.
