Temples in Chamba
Instituted several centuries back, Chamba is home to unique and medieval temples, mysterious in its architecture.

Chamba is the northwestern district of Himachal Pradesh. The town of Dalhousie and Khajjhiar are immensely popular among the tourists for their virgin, wooded beauty. Chamba is one of the oldest native states (the erstwhile states ruled by monarchs) of India, founded in the late 6th century. Ideally placed in the heart of the Himalayas, with an area of 6528 sq. km. with an elevation ranging from 2000ft to 21,000ft, Chamba is also the home to a number of temples. The unique and medieval temple structure adds splendor to the district. The various temples of Chamba therefore stand as the insignia of the medieval architecture and mysterious artistry.

Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh : Bearing immense archaeological importance, Lakshmi Narayan Temple is consecrated to two leading gods of Hinduism.
