 Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha,  Indian movieThe Indian movie, 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha'is a film of the year 1998. This is a sweet romantic story by Anees Bazmee who has written and directed the movie. The movie 'Pyaar to Hona Hi Tha' is inspired by Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline starrer French kiss.

The central character Sanjana is an orphan who manages to rise at the top. She has three luxuries in life i.e. house, car and cable TV. She often looses boyfriend because of her clumsy nature.

Synopsis of the Indian movie 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha'
The story of the Indian film 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' is a romantic one which revolves around Sanjana and Shekhar and their personal life. Sanjana played by Kajol lives in France with her Uncle played by Harish Patel and is about to marry her love Rahul played by Vijay Anand. Sanjana gets engaged to Rahul and just after the engagement Rahul is about to go to India for a business trip. Sanjana insists on going with him, even though she is scared of flying. When the plane is ready to take off Sanjana's fear get's the best of her and she creates a havoc on getting off the plane. Actually she is very much scared of flights and thus she returns to lead her regular life.

During Rahul's daily call to Sanjana he blurts out that he has fallen in Love with Nisha played by Kashmira Shah and intends not to come back to Paris and gets married to Sanjana. As a matter of fact he wants to break off the relation with Sanjana. Sanjana decides upon herself to get Rahul back whatever the price will be, even as going to fight her fear of flying. As the plane is about to take off a passenger sits next to her named Shekhar played by Ajay Devgan. He realises that Sanjana is scared of flying so he diverts Sanjana attractions to himself by feeling sorry for Rahul. This way Sanjana gets diverted and the flight takes off. During the flight Sanjana accidentally spills drink on Shekhar and she realises that he is hiding something. Shekhar reaches the toilets and pulls out a plant out of his pocket. When he unwraps the clothing over the plant it is revealed that Shekhar is in fact a thief and has stolen a diamond necklace from Paris and has hidden it in a plant. After a chaotic journey they reach India.

Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha,  Indian movie The police played by Om Puri is behind Shekhar from whom he is escaping. Sanjana searches for her lost love as her baggage is stolen. Little does she know that Shekhar put some of his stolen goods into one of her bags. Shekhar then goes after her baggage with Sanjana and helps her out to find Rahul, as Rahul runs to Palam Beach. Shekhar falls in love with Sanjana on their trip to the vacation resort. Sanjana still is in love with Rahul, and when she reaches Paali Hill, she is still determined to separate Rahul and Nisha. In order to make Rahul jealous, Sanjana & Shekhar pose as a couple in love. Unfortunetely, what works in Sanjana's favor is a staged drama , wherein it is revealed that she is a rich heiress. This sends Rahul out of Nisha's, and straight in Sanjana's arms. Sanjana however, has by that time fallen for the brooding intense Shekhar, and knowing that she can never tell him, she decides to go back to France. Shekhar takes her to his village where his sister is getting married. There Sanjana meets with his family and her love becomes stronger. She gives him the diamond necklace which was with her. Shekhar and Sanjana both are in love but cannot tell each other. A typical Hindi movie climax follows, where Shekhar realises he has to tell Sanjana about his love, and he braves traffic snarls, a car that bursts into flame, and is able to stop her flight from taking off. The happy ending follows.

The star cast of the film 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' includes Ajay Devgan and Kajol in the central charaters and also supported by Master Shahrukh, Sham Deshpande, Satish Kaul, Poornima Bhave, Reema Lagoo, Mushtaq Khan, Tiku Talsania, Anjan Shrivastava, Om Puri, Kashmira Shah, Bijoy Anand, and Anant Mahadevan. The movie is written and directed by Anees Bazmee, while is is produces by Gordhan Tanwari. The music in the film is given by Jatin-Lilit whereas Nirmal Jani does the cinematography. The art direction is done by Nitin Desai.
