Punjab Cricket team is the official cricket team of the Punjab state, which represents the state in "First-class" cricket. This team has qualified for the "Ranji Trophy" semi-finals three times in the last five years. Punjab Cricket team reached the final in "Ranji Trophy" in 2004/05, where the Railways cricket team defeated them in the first innings. This team could win the "Ranji Trophy" only once in 1992/93 season. This team comes under the "North Zone" cricket team. Punjab cricket team lost the Irani Trophy in the same year, which was played against the Rest of India team, which included Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Ajay Jadeja and Nayan Mongia.
