Kakarhati is a `nagar panchayat` that is situated in the Panna district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

In the state of Madhya Pradesh one finds no dearth of cities and places that have developed here by leaps and bounds. Kakarhati is one such significant place. Kakarhati is a `nagar panchayat` that has been located in the district of Panna of the same state of India.

One cannot claim to have identified a place or town unless and until one gets to know about the demography of that particular place. In case of Kakarhati also, demographers have depicted some important points about its demography. In this regard , the Census report of India that has been published in the year 2001 has been proved to be one of the relevant documents .

In fact this report has inferred important information about Kakarhati like population status, literacy rate etc. As per the report, Kakarhati has got a population of 7096. Out of the total population of Kakarhati, males comprise of 53 percent and population of female constitutes of 47 percent. In Kakarhati town, 19 percent of the total population is below six years of age.

As far as the literacy rate of Kakarhati is concerned, few points too can be deciphered from this report. For instance, the average literacy rate of Kakarhati is 51 percent. Thus it is lower than that of the entire nation, which has been counted to be 59.5 percent. To be specific, rate of male literacy constitutes of 60 percent and female literacy rate is 40 percent only.
