Kabnur is the name of a census town that has been formed in the Kolhapur district of the Maharashtra state.

Quite a number of towns and places have developed in each and every state of the Indian Territory. In the state of Maharashtra too, there are several places or towns that have grown by leaps and bounds. Amongst them, one can point out that the Kabnur is quite significant. Kabnur is a census town in the district of Kolhapur in the same state of India.

There are several demographers who have tried to throw some light on the demographical situation of the town of Kabnur. The Census report of India that has been brought out in the year 2001 is quite significant in this matter. The total population of the Kabnur town has been measured to be 28, 223. From the report , one can even get to know about the status of males , females as well as children individually. Thus the males comprises of 53 percent of the total population, while the population of females constitutes of 47 percent. In Kabnur town , 13 percent of the total population of Kabnur is below six years of age.

Literacy rate too adds on to the knowledge of the person about the Kabnur town . Interestingly, the average literacy rate of Kabnur is 73 percent, which is quite high than that of India as a whole. The average literacy rate of India has been measured to be 59.5 percent. The rate of male literacy has been counted to be 79 percent, and female literacy rate is 65 percent.
