Sunidhi Chauhan is an accomplished Bollywood playback and pop singer, famous for her matured voice. She has lent her voice in many popular songs.

She has been considered as a new bubble in the world of Bollywood Music. Sunidhi Chauhan rose to fame with the song `Zindagi` under the banner of Ram Gopal Verma`s film `Mast`. The song went on to become the most attention-seeking song of that year.

Early Life of Sunidhi Chauhan
Sunidhi Chauhan was born on 14th August in the year 1984. At the tender age of 4 years, she started her career in singing. From a very young age she started taking part in various competitions. Tabassum, a TV host in one such competition spotted this young brilliant talent. With her advice, Sunidhi`s family decided to shift to Mumbai in order to form a concrete career for Sunidhi. She achieved national recognition when the musical show "Meri Aawaz Suno" was telecast all over India through the National Television channel Doordarshan. In the programme she fetched the first prize, the "Lata Mangeshkar Trophy" for the best female singer in India.

"Meri Aawaz Suno" was the first and foremost television show of this genre during the year 1996. Sunidhi Chauhan got her first playback singing break with the film `Shastra`, which were followed by `Gang`, `Veergati`, `Dahek`, `Bade Dilwala`, `Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat`, Shyam Benegal`s `Samar` and Vidhu Vinod Chopra`s `Mission Kashmir`. The fact remains that, before entering into any music competition, she did not receive any kind of formal training in music. But after winning the competition in the nationally-telecast "Meri Aawaz Suno", legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar offered to train her.

Career of Sunidhi Chauhan
Sandeep Chowta gave her the major first break in the film `Mast` and since then there has been no looking back for Sunidhi. She shot to fame with her song `Bhaage Re Mann` from the movie `Chameli.` Some famous songs sung by her are- `Ya Ali` from the film `Aap Ka Suroor`; `Dhadak Dhadak` from the film `Bunty Aur Babli`; `Hey Shona` from the film `Ta Ra Rum Pum`; `Bhaage Re Mann` from the film `Chameli; `Mehboob Mere` from the film `Fiza`; `Deedar De` from the film `Dus`; `Dhoom Machale` from the film `Dhoom`; `Le Chale` from the film `My Brother Nikhil`; `Sajna Ve Sajna` from the film `Chameli`; `Right Here Right Now` from the film `Bluffmaster`; `Kaisi Paheli Zindagaani` from the film `Parineeta`; `Ishq Samundar` from the film `Kaante`; `Crazy Kiya Re` from the film `Dhoom 2`; `Ek Din Fursat` from the film `Zindaggi Rocks`; `Beedi Jalaile` from the film `Omkara`; `Tere Ishq Me` from the film `Supari`; `Pyaar Ki Ek Kahani` from the film `Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd`.; `Dil Mein Jagi Dhadkan Aise` from the film `Sur`; `Cash Meri Aankhon Mein` from the film `Cash`; `Sajnaji Vari Vari` from the film `Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd`; `Aaja Nachle` from the film `Aaja Nachle`.

Sunidhi has also cut her solo album called `Aira Gaira Nathu Khaira`. This religious singer believes in God. Sunidhi Chauhan has also bagged the honor of performing the English language song "Reach Out" in the opening ceremony of the 2006 Asian Games held at Doha, Qatar. She has also lent her voice for the songs in the Hindi-dubbed version of the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical. She has rendered the songs that were sung by Vanessa Anne Hudgens in the English version. Sunidhi Chauhan has been chosen as part of the marketing campaign and launch of Windows Vista in India, to sing the "Windows Vista Song" titled `Wow is Now`. She has already been hired by Microsoft.

Awards and Honours of Sunidhi Chauhan
Acknowledging her talent Sunidhi Chauhan has been conferred with many awards like - Filmfare R.D. Burman Award in the year 2000, for New Music Talent; in the year 2001 - R. D. Burman award for most promising newcomer; in the year 2004 - Star Screen Award Best Female Playback - Sajna Ve Sajna for Chameli; in the year 2005 - IIFA Awards Female Best Playback Singer - Dhoom Machale for Dhoom; in the year 2005 - Zee Cine Award Best Playback Singer - Female -Dhoom Machale for Dhoom; in the year 2006 - Star Screen Award Best Female Playback Singer- Beedi for Omkara; in the year 2007- Filmfare Award Best Female Playback Singer- Beedi for Omkara.
